Actually for the first 3-6 weeks you're supposed to use pads. What you think is your period is actually the after bleeding. Which the lamaze teachers should have told you.

Why would someone take a lamaze class (which helps teach you how to breath when giving birth) when they are going for an abortion?
To the OP: I'm not really sure. My first thought is that it should be ok for you to use a tampon, but I wouldn't take my word for it. Perhaps you could try calling your doctor or even Planned Parenthood (they are normally pretty good answering my questions).
